Case Summary

Uniqop is an online Persian grocery store in LA, supplying asian food groceries throughout the USA. They contracted with us from the very first moment of starting their business. We helped them to create a solid online storefront with a complete digital marketing package.

Challanges

Uniqop had a twist: native Persian & Asian grocery delivered to your door! Their distinct product quickly caught on with Persians in the U.S., and adventurous foodies eager to try new exotic foods.

The problem? Few people knew they existed.

The equipment company's website was difficult to navigate, their brand lacked information about them, and they were nearly nowhere to be found on search engines. Rivals that marketed their products online were overshadowing it, even though some offered lesser-quality goods.

Uniqop approached us with a simple but ambitious goal:

“We want to become the #1 online destination for Persian groceries in the U.S.”

Solutions

We jumped into this, knowing it wasn't going to be about band-aids; we were building and setting up our brand and marketing world top-down.

Brand Foundation

  • Logo & Visual Identity: We designed a modern logo that incorporates Persian motifs in a way that is both identifiable and appealing to a broad audience.
  • Brand Guidelines: Created uniform colors, typography, and graphics that could be implemented across all mediums, from website to packaging to social media posts and ads.

Website Transformation

  • eCommerce Redesign: Created a fast, mobile-first, and user-centric site with high-resolution product imagery, easy-to-use navigation, responsive cart domain, and smart checkout.
  • Conversion Optimization: We used clear CTA's (Calls to Action,n), trust badges, and a visually easy-to-navigate listing catalog in order to secure engagements.

Search Visibility

  • SEO Strategy: Keywords such as “best Persian pistachios online”, “Iranian saffron USA”, and “buy healthy food delivery Los Angeles.”
  • Our team has established a strong online presence for Local SEO, optimizing the Google Business Profile, creating local citations, and encouraging customer reviews, which in turn attracts local shoppers.

Content Marketing

  • Insightful Blog & Recipes: They wrote culturally-inspired blogs and step-by-step recipes that not only garnered search traffic but also educated and inspired customers.
  • It included Product Spotlights — where they highlighted unique products and how they came to be, as well as tips for using them.

Social Media Strategy

  • Instagram & Facebook Demos: Demos of new dishes, holidays in other cultures, and promotions, as well as behind-the-scenes.
  • UGC: Got customers excited to share all the things they were cooking up from containing their favorite Uniqop products.

PR & Paid Campaigns

  • Worked with Food Blogs and Local Media: Wrote press releases for new product launches and food blog/cultural event tie-ins.
  • Search and Display Advertising: We used targeted Google Ads to reach people close to purchase (more so the users who already visited the website)

Results

  • The change was a substantial one over the 10 months
  • Organic website traffic from SEO and content increased by more than 120%.
  • Ranking top 3 for big niche keywords such as Persian grocery in Los Angeles.
  • The volume of online orders almost tripled, with spikes over cultural holidays like Nowruz.
  • Online social media following increased by 200% and gained a die-hard fan base.
  • This resulted in PPC campaigns setting a 3.4x ROI, effectively driving (profitable) scalable sales.
  • Brand recall increased a lot, Uniqop started getting recommendations from customers both online & offline.

The Takeaway

Takeaway: This campaign demonstrated that a holistic approach, combining design, SEO, content, and paid marketing, can lead to epic successes. Uniqop didn’t just get a better logo or website; instead, they received an entire digital experience that showcases their narrative and resonates with the audience, and to a level, boosts sales figures.

Uniqop is now not only a grocery store, but also a trusted brand and cultural bridge for those of us who are in love with good food all over the U.S.
